Situated within an enclosed paddock on a working farm, The Nest is a contemporary glamping lodge just four miles from the stunning Northumbrian coastline. Well-equipped and thoughtfully furnished to a high standard, it would make an ideal base for a couple or small family looking for a peaceful rural retreat.
Outside, a spacious decked area extends the living space with dining furniture, a barbecue, fire pit, and hot tub, and wonderful views over the surrounding farmland.
Northumberland’s charming coastal villages are within easy reach including Embleton with an expansive sandy beach overlooked by the 14th century ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle; Bamburgh with its imposing fortress and connection to Grace Darling; and Craster, known for its exceptional seafood in particular oak smoked kippers.
Alnwick, which has an excellent selection of shops and places to eat, a castle of Harry Potter fame, and beautiful contemporary gardens can be reached within 15 minutes, as can Seahouses from where trips to the Farne Islands depart from the picturesque harbour.
Northumberland National Park renowned for its dark skies, abundance of wildlife, historic landmarks, and fantastic walking and cycling routes is under an hour away.
