Situated on a working farm and with far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside, Little Barn is a well-presented, single storey stone barn conversion with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. Well-equipped and with comfortable furnishings, the cottage is ideal for a couple or solo traveller looking to explore the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and coast. Guests should note that water is supplied from a well which means that the pressure can be low at times.
Northumberland’s charming coastal villages are within easy reach including Embleton with an expansive sandy beach overlooked by the 14th century ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle; Bamburgh with its imposing fortress and connection to Grace Darling; and Craster, known for its exceptional seafood in particular oak smoked kippers.
Alnwick, which has an excellent selection of shops and places to eat, a castle of Harry Potter fame, and beautiful contemporary gardens can be reached within 15 minutes, as can Seahouses from where trips to the Farne Islands depart from the picturesque harbour.
