A first-floor studio apartment with a wood burning stove set within a converted stone barn on a traditional working sheep farm, ideal for a young family or couple seeking a peaceful rural break. The cottage retains many original features, including vaulted wooden ceilings, exposed timber beams, and thick stone walls. Distinct living and sleeping areas are separated by a dividing screen to provide a sense of privacy.
Outside, guests can enjoy a patio garden and the chance to meet a variety of farm animals, including lambs in the spring. Dog owners should note that geese and ducks roam freely around the grounds, while late risers should be aware there is a resident cockerel.
The farm sits adjacent to the Cragside Estate, while Northumberland National Park, magnificent castles, and the stunning coastline are all within easy reach. Access is via a bumpy track, but a good range of independent shops and welcoming pubs, can be reached on foot within 15 minutes.
