Inside, the interiors feel fresh, airy, and contemporary while thoughtfully retaining the building’s heritage. Vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and timber trusses add character and warmth, while whitewashed walls and solid wooden floors create a clean, calming backdrop for the carefully chosen furnishings.

The spacious open-plan living area provides an inviting space to relax and unwind after a day exploring the surrounding countryside. At one end, the contemporary kitchen has shaker-style cabinetry offering ample storage, butcher’s block worktops, and a full range of modern appliances, ensuring everything is at hand for preparing relaxed home-cooked meals. A breakfast bar is the perfect spot for hearty farmhouse breakfasts or intimate suppers. Afterwards, settle into the sitting area, where a jewel-green sofa invites guests to curl up with a good book or enjoy a film together.

Upstairs, the bedroom sits beneath a high pitched ceiling, creating a peaceful and cosy retreat with a comfortable bed dressed in crisp linens and soft blankets for restful nights throughout the seasons. Completing the accommodation is a sleek bathroom, offering both a bath and shower.

To the rear of the cottage is a small patio, a lovely spot for morning coffee or an evening drink while watching the sun set over the surrounding fields.

The farm itself is home to horses, cows, and sheep, which can be seen grazing nearby. Friendly working and trialist sheepdogs are also part of daily farm life, and guests are welcome to bring their own dogs, with kennels available if required. From October to March, the owners offer sheepdog training sessions, providing access to a variety of sheep, fields, and specialist equipment. Whether you are introducing a young dog to training or developing existing skills, expert guidance is available in a truly authentic setting.

The nearby market town of Skipton is just a short drive away and makes an excellent base for exploring the Dales. Known for its impressive medieval castle and beautiful 12th-century parish church, the town also hosts a vibrant market along its historic cobbled high street. With a wealth of independent shops, restaurants showcasing local produce, and welcoming traditional pubs, Skipton offers plenty to discover during your stay.
