The Granary is a beautifully restored Grade II listed barn offering spacious accommodation within the idyllic grounds of the 18th-century Trewinnard Manor. The farm has remained in the same family since the 1960s, evolving from livestock and daffodil farming to its present arable use, while retaining a strong sense of heritage and continuity.
Set in a peaceful location just a few miles from the seaside town of Marazion and the iconic St Michael's Mount, The Granary is well placed for exploring the far south west of Cornwall.
The accommodation is arranged in an upside-down layout to make the most of the space and light. On the ground floor are two bedrooms: a double with a distinctive feature window that fills the room with natural light, and a twin room well suited to children, along with the family bathroom.
Upstairs, an-open plan living room with vaulted ceilings and exposed timber beams forms the heart of the home. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances and a Rayburn, which adds warmth and is ideal for slow cooking and baking. A large dining table comfortably seats eight, making it easy to entertain if visitors what to invite friends over. The sitting area centres around a wood-burning stove, with ample seating for relaxed evenings with a book or film. Adjacent to the cottage is a games room with table tennis and a fun-size pool table.
Outside, a large shared garden, mainly laid to lawn, provides space for games or picnics, with barbecue equipment is available for relaxed al fresco dining. The cottage also benefits from a walled, solar-heated swimming pool and a well-appointed pool house with changing rooms and shower facilities. Sun loungers offer a peaceful place to unwind, with views across the countryside towards St Erth. Tea, coffee, and soft drinks are available daily in the pool house, payable via an honesty box.
Guests have access to the surrounding farmland, with a variety of scenic farm and riverside walks and an abundance of wildlife and plants to spot. A little further afield, Marazion is popular for watersports and offers a selection of galleries, traditional pubs, and well-regarded restaurants.
