A charming stone cottage with a wood burning stove set on a livestock farm on the outskirts of Northumberland National Park.
Ryehill Farm Cottage is a charming end-of-terrace cottage set on a working farm with sheep, cows and chickens, just a short walk from the River Coquet. Full of character, the cottage has wooden flooring throughout the ground floor, an inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, and French doors from the sitting area opening onto a lovely garden surrounded by open fields and farmland.
The village of Thropton can be reached either by a delightful walk across fields and over a footbridge spanning the Coquet, or via a picturesque five-mile drive. Here you’ll find two welcoming pubs with restaurants serving excellent food and quality ales.
Rothbury is just three miles away and offers a variety of independent shops, traditional pubs, and quaint tea rooms, while nearby Northumberland National Park provides excellent walking and cycling opportunities.
There are plenty of attractions to explore nearby, including Cragside, the Simonside Hills, Hadrian's Wall, and the Heritage Coast. A short drive east brings you to Alnwick Castle and Gardens, famous for appearing in the Harry Potter films.
