The farm has been in the same family for four generations who grow cereal crops, keep chickens, and breed pedigree Lincoln Red cattle which can be seen grazing in the surrounding fields. The Aln Valley heritage steam railway runs through the farm which takes passengers on a nostalgic journey through stunning countryside, and there are a wealth of beautiful walks and cycling routes on the doorstep.
Alnwick is a market town with colourful painted houses and narrow streets lined with a good range of independent shops and places to eat. The coastal village of Alnmouth with a wide sandy beach is close by while Seahouses a little further up the coast offers boat trips to the Farne Islands and Lindisfarne, and has excellent fish and chips.
