A charming stone cottage with an inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove set on a farm within walking distance of Alnwick. Well-equipped and with comfortable furnishings, a large enclosed garden, and children’s play area it’s ideal for a family with a dog looking to explore the beautiful Northumbrian coastline.
The farm has been in the same family for four generations who grow cereal crops, keep chickens, and breed pedigree Lincoln Red cattle which can be seen grazing in the surrounding fields. The Aln Valley heritage steam railway runs through the farm which takes passengers on a nostalgic journey through stunning countryside, and there are a wealth of beautiful walks, cycling routes, and sandy beaches on the doorstep.
Alnwick is a historic market town with a famous castle that featured in the Harry Potter films, a stunning contemporary garden, and a iconic secondhand bookshop. Its narrow streets are lined with colourful houses, independent shops, and plenty of places to eat.
