Tucked away on a working farm Home Farm Barn is a beautifully converted barn with exposed beams, sloping ceilings, and a traditional brick fireplace. Decorated in Farrow & Ball paints and with an eclectic mix of stylish furnishings, it’s ideal for a couple or solo traveller looking for a peaceful rural retreat. Guests should note, the cottage is not suitable for babies or children.

Outside, the spacious garden, which has been designed to attract wildlife, has several seating areas to enjoy al fresco dining or admire the lovely views of the surrounding farmland.

Just 8 miles away is the market town of Shrewsbury with an excellent range of independent shops, cafés, restaurants, and pubs. Standing on a hill overlooking the River Severn is Shrewsbury Castle, a red sandstone Norman castle home to Shropshire Regimental Museum with a collection of pictures, uniforms, medals, weapons.

Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage site and birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, can be reached in around half an hour where there are ten award-winning museums including the Blists Hill Victorian Town to explore.

The cottage is an excellent base for walking with a number of trails nearby. The Chris Bagley Walk is a ten mile circular route in the Shropshire Hills passing through spectacular countryside, woodland, and fields, with several good pubs along the way.

Pontesbury has a well-stocked village shop and a couple of pubs serving food. For other amenities and attractions a car will be required.
