A well-presented glamping retreat on a coastal farm within walking distance of Cardigan Bay.
A charming shepherd’s hut set on a picturesque coastal farmstead. Ideal as a base for couples or solo travellers looking to explore this beautiful corner of West Wales.
The Welsh word Cynefin means ‘a place where a person or animal feels it truly belongs, where the surrounding nature feels right’, and a stay here perfectly captures that sense of comfort and connection.
The hut has been thoughtfully styled in a calming palette, with wooden detailing, attractive prints, and soft furnishings creating a cosy yet elegant atmosphere, while underfloor heating ensures warmth throughout the year. The compact kitchen is well-equipped with a range of appliances for preparing light meals and snacks.
The sleeping area has a hotel-quality king-size bed, complete with a deep mattress, crisp white Egyptian cotton linen, and soft blankets for cooler evenings. Positioned beside a window, it’s a wonderful place to wake to birdsong and the gentle lowing of cattle in the neighbouring fields, as morning sun streams in and fills the hut with natural light.
Outside, a large lawn bordered by colourful flowers includes a fire pit perfect for toasting marshmallows as the sun sets over the fields. There is also a ‘Caban’, a fantastic covered dining area where you can prepare and enjoy al fresco meals while taking in views of the countryside and the sea beyond.
The farm is just a short walk from the wooded valleys, hidden smugglers’ coves, sandy beaches, and dramatic clifftops of Cardigan Bay, from where it’s possible to spot bottlenose dolphins and a wonderful array of birdlife.
Despite its rural setting, there are many attractions close by including ancient castles, prehistoric monuments, nature reserves, and a wealth of walking and cycling trails.
The seaside town of Aberaeron with a pretty harbour, colourful houses, and plenty of independent shops and places to eat is just a 20-minute drive away, while Aberystwyth can be reached in under an hour.
