Bosworlas is a traditional stone farmhouse set on a working farm near the historic mining town of St Just, in the heart of Poldark and Rosamunde Pilcher country.
Situated in the upper reaches of Cot Valley and within easy reach of Penzance and St Ives, it is a well-placed rural retreat for families or groups of friends looking to explore this beautiful stretch of Cornwall’s coastline. On arrival, guests are warmly welcomed with a thoughtfully prepared hamper of local produce, and often greeted by the farm’s friendly dog.
The ground floor has a well-equipped kitchen with contemporary appliances, making self-catering a breeze. A separate dining room centres around a farmhouse table, providing plenty of space for shared meals and planning the days ahead. The sitting room is comfortable and inviting, with ample seating arranged around an open fire, an ideal setting for relaxed evenings with a film or board game.
Upstairs, there is a choice of bedrooms all furnished in a rustic style with wooden furniture and crisp linen. Picture windows frame views across the garden and surrounding countryside. A family bathroom, finished in calming aquamarine tones, offers the choice of a bath or shower.
Outside, a walled garden wraps around three sides of the house. A large lawn provides space for outdoor games, while a patio with barbecue is the perfect spot for al fresco dining, while enjoying watching the cows in the neighbouring fields.
The ancient settlement of St Just, the most westerly town in England and nearest to Land’s End, has a good range of independent shops where you can purchase most of your day to day groceries, as well as several restaurants and a welcoming pub. The area is rich in heritage, with numerous historic and prehistoric sites reflecting its long and varied past.
