Situated on the outskirts of Rugeley, Bluebell Cottage is an elegant rural retreat forming part of a converted 15th-century farmhouse set on a family-run smallholding. Beautifully restored retaining timber beams and trusses, and original fireplaces with an open fire and wood burning stove. Ideal for a family or couple looking for a peaceful, countryside escape. Guests should note that, due to the age of the cottage, headroom is limited in some of the doorways and the stairs are steep but handrails have been installed.
Outside, the cottage benefits from an enclosed lawned garden and patio complete with a chimenea and bird feeders that attract a variety of species.
Sheep, chickens and turkeys can be seen in the adjoining paddocks, and guests are welcome to help feed the animals or bottle-feed lambs in spring. The owner also has two vintage tractors and would be delighted to offer rides around the paddocks, as well as tractor driving tuition for those keen to have a go themselves.
