Bilton Farm Cottage No 2 is a charming stone retreat, ideally situated for families keen to discover both the beautiful countryside and dramatic coastline of Northumberland. The traditional cottage is comfortably furnished, with a compact but well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of room for relaxed dining and lounging.
Outside is a spacious enclosed garden, bordered by mature trees and overlooking open farmland. With a picnic bench for al fresco meals, a generous lawn where children can play, and space for your dog to run free, it’s the perfect spot for the whole family to unwind.
Despite its rural location, the seaside village of Alnmouth lies just a couple of miles away. Here, you’ll find sweeping beaches, wild sand dunes, and stunning views across the North Sea. The village also boasts a golf course, fishing opportunities along the river, and an array of independent shops, pubs, and restaurants.
For those seeking adventure, Northumberland National Park is within easy reach. Explore Hadrian’s Wall on foot or by bike, uncover ancient Roman ruins, discover hidden waterfalls, and spot wildlife including native red squirrels, roe deer, wild goats, and a variety of birdlife. On clear nights, the dark skies offer some of the best stargazing in the country.
After a day of exploring, return to your welcoming cottage. Enjoy a long soak in the bath, or relax in the garden with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the surrounding fields, the perfect end to a day in Northumberland.
