A comfortable stone barn conversion with an open fire and stunning views on a working farm close to the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
A well-appointed former farm building situated on a small working farm, just a short walk from the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. An ideal retreat for families or groups of friends seeking a peaceful rural escape.
The cottage has been thoughtfully restored with traditional furnishings to offer comfortable accommodation, with the spacious living area housing a log fire set within an original stone fireplace. Please note that guests will need to bring their own towels. The ground floor provides level access to the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, making it well suited to guests with limited mobility. Families are also well catered for, with a cot, booster seat, and portable safety barrier provided.
Outside, the garden is a delightful spot for al fresco dining. With minimal light pollution, it’s perfect for stargazing and enjoying spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
From the farm, footpaths lead directly to a number of prehistoric sites, including a Neolithic cromlech and several standing stones. The surrounding wild moorland is dotted with granite outcrops and supports many species of wildflowers and butterflies.
The Pembrokeshire coast offers an abundance of unspoilt beaches, dramatic cliffside walks, and opportunities to spot seals. Boat trips to Skomer and Ramsey Island provide excellent birdwatching. St Davids, Britain’s smallest city, is just over 10 miles away, home to an impressive Norman cathedral and the ruins of a medieval Bishop’s Palace.
Inland, the Preseli Hills can be reached in under an hour, offering excellent walking and cycling. The Golden Road, an ancient ridgeway path, passes through beautiful scenery, with Iron Age hill forts, burial cairns, and the source of the Stonehenge bluestones.
Due to the farm’s rural setting, a car is recommended. The nearest shops and amenities are around 5 miles away. Rail connections are available at Fishguard and Goodwick (4.3 miles) and Haverfordwest (16 miles), both accessible by taxi. WiFi is reliable at the cottage, though mobile reception in the surrounding area can be patchy.
