Shepherds Cabin

Titterstone Lea,
Clee Hill,
Shropshire,
England

Why you'll love staying here

Shepherd’s Cabin is a quirky rural retreat set on a working mixed farm in the quiet hamlet of Bedlam, just outside the historic market town of Ludlow. Enjoying far-reaching views towards Clee Hill, it offers an idyllic escape for couples or solo travellers looking to explore the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

Though compact in size, the shepherd’s cabin has been thoughtfully and cleverly designed to provide stylish, comfortable accommodation with everything on hand for a relaxing stay. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, while a breakfast bar is the perfect spot for leisurely breakfasts or intimate home-cooked suppers.

The inviting sitting area has a plump leather sofa positioned before a cast-iron Hobbit stove, ensuring the cabin remains cosy throughout the seasons. Glazed doors flood the space with natural light and frame the surrounding countryside, a lovely space in which to unwind after a day exploring the local area.

Accessed by a ladder, the mezzanine sleeping area has a full-size bed dressed in crisp linens and a cosy fur throw, designed for restful nights beneath the cabin’s timber interior. Fall asleep to the gentle glow of the dying embers of the wood burner and wake to the sound of birdsong drifting across the fields. A contemporary shower room with a sleek walk-in shower completes the accommodation.

Outside is where Shepherd’s Cabin truly shines. Overlooking lush, green fields where sheep graze, the outdoor kitchen and dining area is a wonderful space for evenings under the stars. An undercover terrace, festooned with fairy lights and bunting, has a barbecue grill and drinks fridge, for long, sociable evenings cooking, dining, and enjoying music with a cocktail in hand. For added indulgence, a private hot tub is the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day while taking in the surrounding views.

The nearby village of Clee Hill sits high on the slopes of Titterstone Clee Hill, the third-highest hill in Shropshire, standing at 1,749 feet. Located on the edge of Clee Hill Common, the cabin is perfectly placed within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by renowned walking and cycling countryside.

Just six miles away lies Ludlow, one of England’s finest market towns. Its medieval street layout remains largely unchanged, providing a historic setting for regular markets held beneath the impressive 13th-century castle. The town also has a great range of independent shops, acclaimed restaurants, traditional pubs, welcoming tea rooms, and a vibrant calendar of food and arts festivals throughout the year.
