Cornwall’s mild Atlantic climate makes it one of the best counties in Britain for an outdoor pool that actually gets used. Warmer and drier than most people expect, the far west in particular enjoys long, sunny spells from May through to October, long enough to justify a swim before breakfast and another before dinner. Many of the farms in our collection sit within a short drive of the coast, so a private pool doesn’t mean choosing between the farm and the sea, and you can enjoy the best of both worlds. The Cornish landscape tends to offer natural shelter from the wind too, tucked into valleys and behind ancient hedgerows, which means pool weather arrives earlier and lingers longer than the forecast sometimes suggests.
