Situated on the outskirts of Rugeley, The Jenny Wrennery is a charming lodge set on a family-run smallholding. Beautifully designed with vaulted ceilings, timber beams, and rustic fixtures and fittings, while a wood burning stove keeps things warm on cooler days. Ideal for a couple or solo traveller looking for a peaceful, rural escape.

Outside, the lodge benefits from a covered veranda and a large lawned garden complete with a fire pit and bird feeders that attract a variety of species.

Sheep, chickens and turkeys can be seen in the adjoining paddocks, and guests are welcome to help feed the animals or bottle-feed lambs in spring. The owner also has two vintage tractors and is delighted to offer rides around the paddocks, as well as tractor driving tuition for those keen to have a go themselves.

Rugeley lies close to the River Trent in the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town has a rich industrial heritage, known for its ironworking and glass manufacturing dating back to medieval times, and it has held markets since the 13th century. Today, you’ll find a good selection of places to eat, from modern restaurants to traditional pubs, along with independent shops selling local produce and artisan gifts as a memento of your stay.
