Whalebone Cottage at Broadings Farm is a charming holiday retreat, perfect for families or groups of friends keen to explore the many attractions of North Yorkshire. This attractive stone-built barn conversion is both modern and well-equipped, while still retaining characterful touches such as exposed beamed ceilings, a brick fireplace, and a genuine whalebone mounted on the wall, offering a nod to the area’s seafaring heritage.
Four-legged companions are more than welcome, with a dedicated dog exercise field on the farm where they can roam freely off-lead. After a day out, the sunny garden provides the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine or enjoy a meal outdoors in the peaceful surroundings.
Despite its rural setting, Whalebone Cottage is just a mile from the lively seaside town of Whitby. Sample the town’s famous fish and chips, climb the famous 199 steps to Whitby Abbey, enjoy a stroll along the promenade, or watch the boats come and go at the bustling harbour. The breathtaking landscapes of the North York Moors National Park are also within easy reach, with windswept moorland walks, tumbling waterfalls, cosy country pubs, romantic ruins, an unspoilt coastline, and endless panoramic views.
Distances are calculated “as the crow flies”, so actual driving, cycling, and walking distances may differ.
