Swallow Studio is a honey-coloured stone-built Grade II listed barn conversion, perfect for a couple or solo traveller in search of a rural Cotswolds retreat. Tucked away on a working farm, the cottage is reached via a long, tree-lined drive where sheep graze in the surrounding fields. Inside, it has been thoughtfully restored to create a bright and airy open-plan living space with beautiful countryside views. The compact yet well-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals, which can be enjoyed at the dining table or, on sunny days, outside at the front of the cottage.
Equestrian enthusiasts are especially well catered for, with Cheltenham Racecourse, Cornbury Horse Trials, and Badminton Horse Trials all within easy reach. Guests travelling with their own horse are also welcome, as the farm offers livery with bedding and hay.
For walkers, both the Cotswold Way and the Gloucestershire Way are close by, winding through rolling pastures and ancient beech woodlands, past stately homes, and historic monuments. The picturesque village of Bourton-on-the-Water is just a short drive away, as is the elegant Regency town of Cheltenham with its striking architecture, award-winning parks and gardens, and a lively calendar of music, theatre, and comedy events throughout the year.
