Overlooking a picturesque paved courtyard, Hazelnut is a beautifully converted barn situated within 70 acres of woodland and wildflower meadows on Heath Farm. Lovingly restored, the barn includes handcrafted furniture and fittings made from English hardwoods - many sourced directly from the farm - by skilled Cotswolds artisans. A local blacksmith was also commissioned to create bespoke ironwork, adding character to the doors, windows, and open fireplaces.
Full of charm and original features, the barn boasts high pitched ceilings, exposed beams, stone walls, and warm terracotta floor tiles throughout. Outside, the terraced courtyard is lined with fragrant herb borders and offers ample seating for al fresco dining or relaxing with a book and a glass of wine.
Across from the cottage, chickens roam freely in a wooded enclosure near a vegetable garden, while sheep and goats graze in the field below.
Guests can also enjoy a natural spring-fed lake on the farm, which attracts an array of birdlife including herons, ducks, geese, and the occasional kingfisher. The lake is perfect for wild swimming, boating, or paddleboarding, and visitors are welcome to feed or fish the resident rainbow trout.
