Nanny Jill’s Tranquil Sanctuary Cabin is a charming holiday home set within an animal sanctuary that specialises in caring for disabled pigs. This dog-friendly cabin is well equipped for a couple or a small family, and is decorated in soothing pastel shades with cheerful pops of colour, creating a bright and airy living space. The property benefits from being fully accessible, with a ramp to the front door, an accessible wet room, an adjustable electric armchair in the lounge for those with limited mobility, and an adjustable bed in the single bedroom, along with various other disability aids.
Outside, there is plenty of space to unwind, including a small veranda, a shared garden, a dog-walking field, a pond, and numerous picnic benches where you can enjoy an al fresco meal while soaking up the views. In addition to pigs, the sanctuary is home to sheep, ducks, tortoises, dogs, and cats, and guests are welcome to take a tour to meet and interact with the animals and hear their stories. There is also a vegan beauty salon on site for a spot of pampering.
Situated on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the cabin is ideally placed for exploring the area. History enthusiasts will be fascinated by nearby sites such as Foel Drygarn Hill Fort, Pentre Ifan Burial Chamber, and the Waun Mawn Standing Stones. Outdoor enthusiasts can head to Llys-y-Frân Reservoir to enjoy cycling, fishing, water sports, climbing, archery, and more. A little further afield, the delightful seaside resort of Saundersfoot awaits, with its wide sandy beach, pretty harbour, and an excellent selection of cafés, pubs, shops, and restaurants.
Distances are calculated “as the crow flies”, so actual driving, cycling, and walking distances may differ.
