Fferam Y Llyn is a beautifully appointed, contemporary cottage set on a 400-acre working livestock farm in a peaceful rural setting close to the charming village of Rhosgoch. Just five miles from Cemaes Bay, this spacious property is ideal for extended families or groups of friends looking to explore the stunning Anglesey coastline.
Approached via a quiet country lane, the cottage opens into a generous hallway with ample space for coats and boots. The country-style kitchen forms the heart of the home, a large, sociable space with oak cabinets, granite worktops, and a full range of modern appliances to make cooking a pleasure. A breakfast island is a relaxed spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine while meals are prepared, while the substantial farmhouse dining table ensures there is room for everyone to gather and plan the adventures ahead. A pantry and a practical utility room sit adjacent to the kitchen.
Guests can choose between two inviting sitting rooms. The main sitting room has plenty of plush leather sofas arranged around a cosy wood-burning stove, with patio doors opening onto the garden and filling the room with natural light. Christmas decorations can be arranged during the festive season, adding an extra touch of magic. The second sitting room, complete with a large corner sectional sofa, is perfect for children to play games or unwind with television on a rainy afternoon.
Completing the ground floor are two twin bedrooms, a king-size bedroom with an en-suite, and a shower room located near the utility room.
Upstairs, there are two further en-suite bedrooms, including a spacious family room with a dressing room, ideal for families with younger children who prefer to stay together. All bedrooms have been thoughtfully styled to ensure a restful night’s sleep, with comfortable beds, crisp white linens, and soft neutral tones complemented by cheerful accents.
Outside, the garden is mainly laid to lawn, offering plenty of space for children to play. A patio with a picnic bench provides a lovely setting for al fresco dining while taking in the far-reaching views across farmland towards Alaw Lake.
The farm is home to cattle, sheep, and horses, and the owner is delighted to offer guests a tour to meet the animals, n experience children are sure to enjoy.
The nearby seaside village of Cemaes Bay has a handful of shops for essentials, welcoming pubs, a sheltered harbour, and a Blue Flag sandy beach backed by grassy cliffs.
