An accessible 18th century barn conversion on a working livestock farm within walking distance of the Wales Coast Path.
A cheerful single-storey barn conversion on a working farm on the outskirts of Llanystumdwy, the birthplace of Lloyd George, on the Llŷn Peninsula. Dating back to 1790, the barn has been thoughtfully adapted for wheelchair users, with step-free access and an accessible wet room. Outside, a spacious garden offers plenty of room for children to play, along with wonderful views towards Snowdonia National Park. There is also parking available for guests wishing to bring their own watercraft.
The farm is home to cattle and sheep, with lambs arriving in spring, and lies just 500 yards from the Wales Coast Path. The rivers Dwyfor and Dwyfach, both flowing to the sea, form the boundary of the farm.
A wealth of castles and historic landmarks can be reached within half an hour. The Italianate village of Portmeirion is just 10 miles away, and the surrounding area is rich in wildlife, with several RSPB reserves nearby. There are also excellent opportunities for sailing, walking, horse riding, and golf. Shops, pubs, restaurants, and a sheltered sandy beach can be found in Criccieth within walking distance, though a car is recommended for exploring further afield.
