The farm which has been in the same family for over 50 years grows arable crops and is home to a cattle business specialising in rearing English Longhorns. Some of the land is rented out to a neighbouring farmer so guests may also see sheep grazing in the nearby fields. Two very friendly farm dogs may greet you when you arrive.
There are a wealth of walking and cycling trails in the surrounding area including Wrekin Hill, Long Mynd, and Jack Mytton Way, while nature lovers are well catered for with a variety of reserves and woodland.
Ironbridge Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage site regarded as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution can be reached in around half an hour with a Victorian Town and a collection of museums.
The market town of Church Stretton, known locally as ‘Little Switzerland’ is a 15-minute drive away with a good range of independent shops, pubs, and places to eat. It also has a railway station with services to Shrewsbury (13 mins), Hereford (40 mins), Chester (1 hr, 15 mins), and Cardiff (1 hr, 40 mins).
