Situated in deep rural Devon, between Tiverton and Crediton, Binneford Barn is a beautifully presented converted piggery on a working livestock farm.

Overlooking a picturesque valley, it’s ideal for a couple or small family looking for a peaceful countryside escape. Guests should note that although the property is single storey, there area few steps up to the bedrooms, and that although pets are not allowed, the owners have their own friendly dog.

Thoughtfully converted to retain the original timber beams, the barn’s contemporary interiors are bright and airy thanks to French doors framing far-reaching views over the farmland, while underfloor heating keeps things warm on cooler days.

Outside, the barn benefits from a large lawned garden, complete with outdoor dining furniture, barbecue, and hot tub. Guests are also welcome to walk the footpaths on the farm which rears sheep and beef cattle, and enjoy a picnic by the pond which attracts a variety of ducks and geese

The surrounding area is dotted with picture-postcard villages and market towns, and nearby attractions include Knightshayes Court, the Devon Railway Centre, and Bickleigh Castle.

Binneford Barn is ideally located for exploring both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, each less than an hour’s drive away. For days by the sea, Exmouth, the gateway to the Jurassic Coast, lies to the south, while Saunton Sands, an excellent surfing beach, can be found on the north coast.

A local community shop with a post office and off licence is less than a mile away, and several country pubs serving food are within 5 miles.
