A bright and airy barn conversion set on a working livestock farm, home to pedigree Poll Dorset sheep and a herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle. Finished to a high standard and with its own private garden, it’s ideally suited to couples or solo travellers seeking a peaceful rural escape, while still being within easy reach of the coast. A path from the cottage leads directly to the beach.
The cottage lies along St Oswald’s Way, a long-distance walking route that begins at Lindisfarne and follows the dramatic Northumberland coastline before heading inland via Heavenfield and Hadrian’s Wall. Along the route, you'll pass castles, scenic river valleys, rolling hills, charming villages, forests, and farmland.
Seahouses, just a mile away, renowned for its excellent fish and chips, offers boat trips from the harbour to the Farne Islands, where visitors can see puffins in spring and grey seal pups in autumn. In the opposite direction is Bamburgh, home to a vast sandy beach overlooked by an impressive Norman castle, perfect for surfing and coastal walks.
Guests should note that there is a small touring caravan site on the farm and occasional tractor activity, but overall, it is a peaceful setting for a relaxing holiday.
