Caban Cynnes is a beautifully presented lodge set in a picturesque location on a 27-acre smallholding in the charming village of Glynarthen, near Llandysul. Enjoying far-reaching views across the Ceredigion countryside and within easy reach of the stunning coastline, this delightful log cabin is ideal for a couple or small family looking to explore this beautiful part of West Wales.
Arranged entirely on one level, the interior has a spacious open-plan living area with oak flooring throughout, complemented by rustic touches and warm, welcoming décor. The country-style handmade oak kitchen is well equipped with a range of modern appliances, making meal preparation a pleasure, with the chance to sample local Welsh produce. A generous farmhouse dining table provides ample space for everyone to gather, share home-cooked meals, and recount the day’s adventures.
The sitting area offers plenty of comfortable seating arranged around a cosy wood-burning stove. A large picture window frames panoramic views of the unspoilt countryside, creating the perfect spot to relax with a good book or binge a favourite box set.
Both bedrooms have been thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind, with wooden bedsteads, crisp linen, and ample storage. The master bedroom benefits from its own en-suite shower room, while a family bathroom completes the accommodation.
Outside, a sheltered veranda with a picnic bench and barbecue provides an ideal setting for al fresco dining while taking in views of the surrounding farmland and cattle in the nearby paddocks. The enclosed lawn offers a safe space for children and dogs to play, and there is a swingball set for family fun, along with a bird table that attracts a variety of wildlife. Keep an eye out too for the iconic red kite soaring overhead and listen for its distinctive whistling call.
For added relaxation, there is a jacuzzi hot tub, perfect for soothing tired muscles after a day of exploring with a glass of something bubbly, and a fire pit for toasting marshmallows as the sun sets.
The nearby market town of Llandysul has a good selection of independent shops, tea rooms, and pubs. It is also home to a popular canoeing centre providing a range of outdoor activities, including water sports, coasteering, climbing, and bushcraft, and lies along National Cycle Route 82.
