Shepherds Rest is an attractive barn conversion set on a working farm in a peaceful rural location near the village of Jacobstow. Carefully restored, it retains original features such as vaulted ceilings and exposed timber beams, offering a comfortable base for exploring the North Cornwall coastline.
Guests are welcomed with a traditional Cornish cream tea on arrival, setting the tone for a relaxed stay. The accommodation is arranged entirely on the ground floor and includes a well-equipped country-style kitchen with a dining table for informal meals.
The sitting room has plenty of space to unwind, with French doors opening onto the garden and framing views across the surrounding farmland. Two comfortable bedrooms can be arranged to suit different sleeping requirements and are finished in calming tones with crisp white linen and pretty prints. A family bathroom and separate utility room complete the accommodation.
Outside, the enclosed garden is mainly laid to lawn, providing a safe space for children and dogs. Outdoor games are available, and a patio offers a pleasant setting for al fresco dining or an evening drink as the sun sets over the fields.
A short distance away is a welcoming, child- and dog-friendly pub serving locally sourced food. With a beer garden for warmer months and a log fire in winter, it is an inviting stop after a bracing walk along the nearby coastal cliffs.
