Stargazer is a stunning thatched treehouse set on a working farm near the village of Kyre, close to Tenbury Wells in the Malvern Hills. Beautifully appointed with exquisite attention to detail, this adults-only retreat offers an unforgettable escape for couples seeking romance, privacy, and tranquillity in rural Worcestershire.
Nestled high among the trees with breathtaking views across the farmland and countryside beyond, Stargazer has been thoughtfully designed for rest and relaxation. Perfect for proposals, minimoons, special anniversaries, or simply a quiet weekend away, it provides a magical setting far removed from the pace of everyday life.
Cleverly built around a mature ash tree, with its trunk rising through the heart of the living space, the treehouse sits on a natural bank allowing easy walk-in access with no stairs. The single-storey, open-plan interior blends comfort with craftsmanship, and guests are welcomed with a thoughtfully prepared hamper filled with local produce, including artisan cheese, fresh farm eggs, and handmade chocolate.
Underfloor heating ensures year-round comfort, while soft mood lighting and hand-carved windows allow dappled light to filter gently indoors, creating an enchanting atmosphere from the moment you arrive. Designed to sit harmoniously within its surroundings, the bespoke kitchen has handcrafted panelled cabinetry, a beautiful marble worktop, and a full range of modern appliances. A dining table for two, created from a glass-topped tree trunk, provides an intimate setting for relaxed suppers together.
In the sitting area, a plush sofa is positioned beside a double-sided glass flame-effect fire, the perfect place for cosy evenings watching a film or curling up with a good book.
The bedroom has been designed with indulgent comfort in mind, with a sumptuous bed with a deep mattress, crisp linens, and soft quilts for cooler nights. The true showstopper is the freestanding copper bath, perfectly positioned for long, luxurious soaks while taking in the surrounding views. Adjacent is a contemporary shower room with twin glass basins and a walk-in rainfall shower.
Accessed directly from the bedroom, an elevated balcony wraps around the treehouse, offering ever-changing views through the trees. With a charming bistro set, it’s an idyllic spot for morning coffee while watching birds flit through the branches.
Beneath the treehouse, a private hot tub awaits, heated and ready on arrival. Sink into the warm bubbles after a day exploring and enjoy a glass of something special as the sun sets. Beauty treatments and massages can be arranged in the privacy of the treehouse, and flowers and other special touches can be organised for memorable occasions.
The treehouse sits within four acres of enchanting grounds with woodland, a glistening lake, and a small waterfall. Guests can enjoy barbecues beneath the trees, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, picnic by the water’s edge, or relax on the handcrafted tree swing.
Guests are also welcome to explore the wider farm, which includes ancient ley meadows, well-managed woodland, and fascinating historic features such as medieval fishing pools, arched stone bridges crossing meandering brooks, and a Grade II listed timber-framed farmhouse dating back to the 14th century.
The farm is home to a herd of pedigree Hereford cattle that roam freely through meadows rich in mixed grasses, herbs, and wildflowers. Alongside grass-fed beef, the farm produces its own pressed juices and sparkling cider from apples grown in its orchards, as well as fresh free-range eggs collected daily.
Nearby, the market town of Tenbury Wells offers a delightful selection of independent shops, including a renowned traditional sweet shop, alongside quaint tea rooms and welcoming pubs. A regular market, held from Tuesday to Saturday, has a wide range homemade and homegrown produce, from cakes and preserves to plants and local crafts.
